On Thursday 15th February over 500 local residents voted in the local referendum, equating to a turnout of 25%. Given factors such as time of year, half term etc, this is a significant number, thank you for taking the time and effort to register your opinion in this way.

91% of those voting supported the adoption of the Plan, a strong endorsement of the content that has resulted from 3 years of consultation with parishioners and local groups.

Many thanks to all involved, particularly Michael Simmons as Chair of the Steering Group guiding us through this lengthy process, Peter Farrell as its tireless Secretary and to the rest of the hard working Steering Group. Thanks also to  Peter Sandover who has provided much needed advice over the last couple of years and David Kiernan who has spearheaded  invaluable support from Teignbridge District Council.

The Parish Council and others will now be using the Plan to help develop and implement priorities and ensure that local planning  applications take proper account of our Plan, so heavily supported by those who live in the Parish.

Again,many thanks to all.
