Broadband Update
The saga of getting an acceptable broadband service in the old part of the village may thankfully be nearing its final chapter.

BT Openreach have now applied to Devon County Council for a road closure order between 20th April and 1st May affecting Ogwell Road between the green and its junction with Margaret Road. This is to enable them to lay a new fibre optic cable to the new “DSLAM” cabinet installed on the green at the end of last year.
The extent of traffic disruption will not be known until Openreach can establish if the existing conduits under the road are capable of taking the additional cable. Hopefully rolling traffic controls will suffice. As soon as any more substantive information is known a further update will be posted.
